New Technology for Wastewater Treatment by Coal Glycol

Recently, the Hubei Fertilizer Wastewater Treatment and Renovation Project completed the comprehensive sewage effluent calibration, and the effluent indicators were better than the design values. The project uses its self-developed new technology for coal-based glycol wastewater treatment.

The sewage treatment and upgrading project includes a 15-ton/hour ethylene glycol wastewater pretreatment system and a 200-ton/hour integrated wastewater treatment system. The project technology was jointly developed by Hubei Fertilizer and Sinopec Refinery Engineering Company Luoyang Technology R&D Center. Among them, the ethylene glycol sewage pretreatment system adopts the high-efficiency denitrification process of the anoxic expanded bed to reduce the concentration of nitrate nitrogen; the comprehensive sewage treatment system is the technical research topic–the biological fluidized bed treatment of coal-to-glycol wastewater industrial test Industrial application.

Compared with traditional technology, this self-developed new technology for coal-based glycol wastewater treatment has a small footprint and low exhaust emissions, which can reduce the risk of soil and groundwater pollution. Due to the addition of total nitrogen and total phosphorus control processes, the chemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, suspended solids and other pollutant discharge indicators of the treated wastewater are superior to national standards.
